We had an early scare that they may have contracted the deadly "blight", but, NO! Hub and I got busy with gentle pruning, petting, and repeated positive affirmations, bringing them back to health!!! Hallelujia!
So, take a look. We are such proud parents. Of course, there is still a ways to go...but lookin' good for now!
At least, that's the view from here...©

Ivy,
ReplyDeleteHmm...those plants look like marijuana to me. It's okay though. It's legal. Reminds me of Circa 1971 when I had pot growing in my apartment set up like a houseplant. I named it Maryjane. I'd sun it on the little deck standard for a two-bedroom apartment. My landlord saw it and busted me. Fortunately, he accepted my explanation of Maryjane as a tomato plant. Chad
I had a mimosa pudica (a "sensitive plant") that moved and the leaves folded up when touched - and a friend-of-a-friend tried to explain to me that growing marajuana when I had small children was a really bad idea and she didn't want to turn me in but she would.... I showed her the plant encyclopedia and man, was SHE embarrassed and even apologized to our whole bowling team for making such a terrible mistake and blabbing about it. So nope, I really don't think tomato plants and MJ look alike though both, I am sure, respond positively to tender care.
